Halfway Between the Gutter & the Stars

This was the headline that screamed out from the pages of the BBC News site this week.  Another promising young life stubbed out…..
I clicked the link and, surprise, surprise, it happened less than 2 miles from my front door.

Then tonight, I had to pay a visit to my local supermarket to pick up a couple of bits and, on reaching the bottom of my road………

Blue lights, Police and Paramedics everywhere.  I nearly got run over by a Met Police IRV screaming along the road.  The cause, another stabbing, this time more or less right on my doorstep.  I didn’t hang around to see what happened but this is now getting ridiculous, this is the second time in a week that I have personally seen knife related crime on my doorstep.

The people of London don’t deserve the fear that they walk around with every day.  We had it with the IRA, we’ve had it with the extremists, now we seem to have a section of our own communities which is determined to kill or seriously injure anyone who they come into contact with.

What are the Government, or indeed the Mayor doing to confront this threat………………………NOTHING!!

Instead we are taxed, punished for working or having families and generally treated like shit for wanting to make something of our lives.  When did it become a bad thing to want to be & do the best you can?!?!?!  Obviously it is, obviously we are all supposed to arm ourselves, go out and drink to excess and pick a fight, or just go out with a knife and stab the first person we see.

To prevent this, I have a radical idea………………STAND UP FOR YOURSELVES!!!!

In London, get rid of the arsehole Livingstone who promised so much and has just pissed on everyine time and time again.

In The UK, get rid of Labour, they’ve been in so long they think we won’t notice them fucking us over again, WRONG!!! Taxi for Brown.

NOTE:  This post started as a comment piece on an event that happened locally to me but I then got to thinking about the causes.  I must admit to getting rather angry, but I have 2 kids under the age of 10 and it scares the living shit out of me what they will have to live with in their teenage years.
