A man has been ordered to remove plant pots from outside his home in case they fall over and injure someone.

Richard Wearn placed the 3ft plants outside his home in Portsmouth, Hampshire, in a bid to tidy up the area.

Portsmouth City Council, which owns the land outside the 40-year-old father’s home, told him to remove them. The local authority has since told Mr Wearn the pots can stay as long as he signs a legal agreement stating that the council cannot be sued in the case of an accident.

My Verdict: Another example of the “potty” Health and Safety culture in this company.  With all the restrictions on everything these days, when are councils going to be fined for the amount of methane released into the atmosphere from all their bullshit?
